Clearly Besotted 'winter blooms' snowdrop birthday card

Simply Create Too

Hello everyone and welcome to another challenge over at Simply Create Too. We had a record number of entries to our last challenge with over 430 beauties linked up and it was such a pleasure to look through them all.

This time we are asking for a St Patrick's Day card or mostly green. I have nobody to send a St Patty's Day card, but I'm always needing birthday cards, so I came up with this card:-

I love snowdrops with their beautiful little heads bobbing and reminding us that spring is on the way, and I had an NBUS stamp from the Clearly Besotted called Winter Blooms that was yet to see ink. I die cut the image from vellum and stamped it before colouring it with Copic markers. I left it overnight to dry well, then turned the image over and using an embossing tool and mat, I gently rubbed the flower heads to give them some dimension. The backing panels were made from  Papertrey Ink Mat Stack dies, and I die cut the Simon Says Stamps 'sending' word die several times and stuck them on top of each other to give a bit more impact. I quite like how this turned out - simple, just like the flowers are.

Why not join us over at Simply Create Too, you will find lots of inspiration and you have two weeks to get your card linked up.

I'd like to play along with the following challenges,

4 Crafty Chicks - green

Addicted to Stamping - CAS

Fresh Brewed Designs - green + white + colour of choice (black)

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs
Carol x

This is fabulous Carol. I keep meaning to photograph my snowdrops before they disappear and the daffs take over xx

This is lovely, Carol. And I'd forgotten all about using an embossing tool on the back of vellum, isn't it funny how techniques you used to use disappear from your brain (well mine, anyway! lol). Thanks for sharing with us at ATSM this week, Anita x
