For my contribution I wanted to make a Happy New Year card for some friends and I came up with this
I started by using some blue and teal ink, the Creative Expressions Ivy Background stencil and my new gelli plate, to pull a print. Once the paint had dried I cut a stitched rectangle from it and sprayed it with Crafter's Companion Spray and Sparkle to add some shine. I painted some blue ink onto a white bit of card and then cut out the centre panel before stamping and embossing the greeting which comes from the Everyday Sentiments stamp set from Happy Little Stampers.
To assemble the card, I matted both panels onto black card and added a snowflake charm along with a few gems in the right hand corner. I had difficulty capturing the sparkle in the photo but you can see it a bit better on this one - it looks so blingy in real life!
and the winner will receive a stamp set from HLS
You will find lots of inspiration from my fellow Teamies over on the Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media Challenge blog and you can link up your entry there. I'm dying to see what you will come up with.
I'd like to play along with
Cards in Envy Challenge - shiny New Year card cards must be no thicker that 1/4 of an inch and this fits that by a whisker!
On another note have you heard about the changes coming to Blogger?
It seems that from 11th January only Google account holders will be able to follow Blogger blogs, and non account holders will be removed from any blogs they are currently following. You can see the full announcement here.
I do hope that you will want to continue following my blog, so if you do not have a Google Account, you can create one and then become a follower again, or if you prefer not to open an account, you can follow by email, Bloglovin or Feedly via my sidebar.
Thanks Loll for the shout out about this.
Thanks for stopping by.
