Papertrey Ink and Creative Die Christmas card

Hello and welcome to another Happy Little Stampers Christmas card challenge and this time our theme is song!

How are your Christmas cards coming along? I have to confess that I have been very lax this year and don't have many piled up for the festive season, so I was pleased to come up with this card to add to my stash:-

To start off I used my distress inks and the smooshing technique to come up with the sky. Then I used my NBUS Festive Scene Die from Creative Dies and cut it 4 times in black, yellow and white card, and finally from my smooshed sky. To layer it all up, I cut a scalloped Papertrey Ink die called Scene it: Basic Backer and glued the black outline to it. It was then easy (if a little fiddly) to inlay the sky, the snow, and all the tiny windows and doors to make up the scene.

I took a card base and added the PTI You've Been Framed: Hexagon frame to it, and then stamped my song lyric stamp from Clearly Besotted's Most Wonderful stamp set. The scene was quite thick with all those layers so I used some very thin foam tape to raise it on the card.

I'm going to have that song going through my head for the rest of the day now - but I don't mind because it reminds me of my Mum who loved to watch the Andy Williams Show when I was a child and she was very fond of his version of the song. What song comes to mind for you? Why not hop over to the Happy Little Stampers blog to see some fabulous inspiration from the rest of the team, and join in with us this time.

I would like to play along with

Never-Before-Used-Schtuff (Stamps, Dies, EFs, etc.)

Love that sweet village scene! It must have been fun putting it all together after cutting it four times - like a jigsaw puzzle! Great sentiment for our Happy Little Stampers challenge this month!
