Leonie Pujol Everlasting Love stamp birthday card

Hello Happy Little Stampers and welcome to the October Mixed Media challenge, where the theme this time is Nature. With such a broad subject, I bet ideas are popping into your head already, and when you see what the Design Team has to show you this time, I think you'll be inspired to rush to your craft table and join us!

I was drawn to natural colours for this one, and pulled out my watercolour card, Brushos, cling film and spray starch to make a soft green background using a technique that the wonderful Kylie taught us on the HLS Craft Retreat. Once the background was dry, I cut out a stitched rectangle and stamped a daisy using an NBUS stamp set called Everlasting Love by Leonie Pujol, and coloured the leaves with my Zig Watercolour pens.

Next, I stamped and embossed a happy birthday sentiment from Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler in the bottom corner. I took some white card and re stamped the daisy and a cute little bee, coloured them, and then fussy cut the flower head and bee before shaping them and gluing them to the card.

To finish off, I adhered the panel to the base card using some fun foam for dimension., and highlighted a few spots with white gel pen.

Thanks for stopping by

Hugs
Carol x

I LOVE the bright flower against that cool background. And that background is AMAZING!!! I am going to have to break down and buy Brusho's I think. They are so expensive, though. LOVE this card.
