Clearly Besotted Most Wonderful Christmas card

Hello everyone, and welcome to the August Christmas Challenge over at Happy Little Stampers. This is always an anything goes as long as it's Christmas challenge, but each month we have a fun optional twist to whet your appetite, and this time it's Poinsettia!

Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop! Check out all the details HERE.

I love poinsettias at Christmas. We always get one in early December and last year we tried a creamy white one instead of the red. I really liked it, and it still looked great at Easter, but I think the red ones are more festive.

1) Take a square of cream card and stamp and emboss the sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Most Wonderful stamp set. I stamped with red dye ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.

2) Take a piece of gold card and emboss a lattice panel using a strip embossing folder. My folder was a freebie with a magazine ages ago.

3) Cut a double layered poinsettia from red card and shape the petals. I used my Silhouette Cameo for this.

4) Die cut some Sue Wilson holly leaves.

6) Layer everything up and finish off by adding little gold dots around the card. These were waste from a die cut that I couldn't bring myself to throw away. A bit fiddly because they are so small, but I like the look they give.

You'll find lots of inspiration over on the HLS blog, and do you know that we only have 20 weeks until Christmas? Why not pull out some supplies and join us this month.

I'd like to take my card to play at
