Imagination Crafts and WPlus9 birthday card

Hello everyone and welcome to the new challenge over at Simply Create Too. This time you can make anything you want as long as it has your favourite colour combination.

Our Blog Badge

I have to admit that I have a number of favourite colour combinations, but I always come back to blues and lilacs, so that's what I went for here. I also love adding flowers to my cards, and these bluebells remind me of spring and the bluebell wood I love to visit.

1) Take a piece of card and paint it with Imagination Crafts Starlight paints in Heather and Sky Blue.

2) Once the paint is dry, take the Glitz-craft Bluebell stencil and mask off the flower heads, while you stencil on the Glitter Frosting Paste in Emerald Green onto the leaves. Remove the stencil and leave to dry.

3) Replace the stencil and this time mask off the leaves and use the Lavender Frosting Paste on the flower heads. Remove stencil and leave to dry.

4) Take the rounded square from the MFT Blueprints 14 die set and cut round the bluebells, before matting the panel onto a square of black card, cut with a stitched square die.

5) Cut a scalloped strip from the painted card and from black card and layer them up in the middle of the base card before sticking the black square over it. Raise the bluebell panel on fun foam and stick it onto the black mat.

6) To finish off, cut a stitched banner from the painted card and stamp and emboss the sentiment from WPlus9 Unforgettable set with white embossing powder. Stick the banner to some black card and fussy cut around it before adhering it to the card.

We had some fabulous entries to last month's challenge, and if you pop over to the Simply Create Too blog, you'll find lots of inspiration there. Why not pull out your favourite colours and join in with us this time.

I'd like to play along with

Carol what a pretty and delightful card. I just LOVE the stencil of these blue bells and thank you too for the instructions because I wouldn't mask and get glitter paste where it wasn't needed! Thank you so much for playing along with the Flower Challenge this month and for supporting us this past year :) Ruth DT xxx
