Papertrey Ink and Reverse Confetti it's your day celebration card

Hello everyone and I'm sorry I haven't been around much this week. I lost my voice for a few days (which some in may think is no bad thing!) and then developed a hacking cough that is refusing to budge and as it is particularly bad when I go to bed, sleep has been in short supply. My birthday came in the middle of it all which was a nice distraction, but I haven't been in partying mode so I may have to jump aboard my husband's birthday celebrations next week! Anyway, enough of my woes and welcome to another challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More. We have our Photo Inspiration challenge this week and Kylie has given us this lovely butterfly photo to inspire us.

I was inspired by the beautiful butterflies and gorgeous colours to come up with this card.

I used some butterflies from the Papertrey Ink Butterfly Dreams stamp and dies set and coloured them with Copic markers.

The central panel is the stitched hex tag from Reverse Confetti and I just arranged the butterflies so that the hole was covered.

I've had the background stamp for a long time and I think it was from Hero Arts but the label has escaped so I can't be sure.

I do hope you will join us this week, and I look forward to seeing your card in the gallery.

I'd like to play along at

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs
Carol x

Hi, Carol! Happy Belated Birthday! I'm so sorry you've been sick, and with my least fave way to do it, too! Hate the respiratory crud, my bladder muscles are the first to go when I start hacking, ugh! I very much hope you are recovered enough to enjoy your hubby's celebration, happy birthday to him as well. This card is so pretty. Love the color combo and your butterflies made so well. Warms my heart whenever I see someone using old stamps! They are perfectly good still! Will probly outlive us! haha Take good care and best wishes to you, XOX

Love everything about this card Carol, the way you coloured the butterflies make them so beautifully translucent! I lost my voice too and am now still suffering from a terrible cough. I hope you have recovered Hugs, Gwendolyn
