Poppystamps Woven Basket and Spellbinders pop up birthday card

Hello everyone, and I hope you are well. We've been enjoying some fabulous spring weather in my neck of the woods, so I'm glad I made this card a little while ago, allowing me to get out and enjoy it while it lasts. Our new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More starts up today, and this time we are looking for you to use die cuts and/or stencils.

I used both on this pop-up card

I used the Poppystamps woven basket pop-up die set to create the card, and for the basket, I left the die in place after cutting and inked some brown ink through it to highlight the basket weave.

I lightly stencilled some blue ink on the background before filling the basket with flowers and leaves from a couple of Spellbinder sets.

I used the sentiment from MFT to create the stopper and finished off with a bow.

As always, the DT has some great inspiration over on the blog and I look forward to seeing your entries if you decide to join us.

I'd like to play along at

Thanks for stopping by,
Hugs
Carolx

Hi Carol! Oh my gosh, that is one gorgeous die set and you've used it masterfully! I've never inked thru a die, just a stencil, that's awesome, xoxo

What a fab basket of flowers Carol, so bright and cheerful. Same here with the weather but we've had a few cold nights so my tomatoes have had to be wrapped up in fleece! No crafty classes on the horizon but perhaps we should make our own or at least meet midway!

Hasn't it been lovely, so nice to be able to sit in the sun without needing a coat. Although some frosts night and like the lady above lots of plants in the greenhouses wrapped in fleece, hubby treats them like babies.

Add what a beautiful Spring display here, your basket of blooms is a real delight.

P.S. Invite to share at HQFSCAT or Heart's Quest For Shaped Cards and Tags. It's anything goes on shaped cards and shaped tags. It would be lovely to have you link this up over there, too.

What a great idea to ink through the die cut, Carol. It gave lots of dimension to your basket. You've filled it beautifully with all those Spring flowers. Thanks for sharing your card with us at The Flower Challenge.

Making our own seems a great idea. Many years ago, I used to go to a class in Frodsham - perhaps that would be a good halfway point? I believe there is a community centre that hires out rooms.
