Clearly Besotted Christmas card

Hello everyone and a very warm welcome to a couple of new friends who have joined us as recent new followers. First up is Stephanie of Tea and Ink , a very new blogger who, as her blog name suggests, loves tea and all kinds of crafting! Why not pop over to welcome her to blogland and leave some encouragement. Welcome also to Carole of Card and Cake blog who has been stamping for more than 20 years and also enjoys cake decorating sugarcraft. Thank you Ladies for joining us.

It is time for another challenge over at Christmas Card Challenge and once again it is anything goes. I decided to make a very simple card using the tree stamp and die from the Clearly Besotted Merry Little Christmas set.

I simply coloured it with Copic markers and then added berries with a red Sakura glaze pen. I wanted a shiny star to go on the top so I embossed some Wow red embossing powder on some scrap card and die cut it with the Simon Says Stamps Confetti die. I felt the tree needed to have some dimension so I curved it round a pencil and then used 2 strips of foam tape on top of each other in the centre of the back of the tree to support it.

The sentiment from Papertrey Ink Christmas Labels was embossed in white and the background panel was inked with some PTI pure poppy ink and die cut with the MFT Diagonal Stitched Square. A little tab on the side of the panel finished it off.

Why not pop over to the Christmas Card Challenge Blog to see some inspiration from my talented team mates, and join in with us this week.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs
Carol x

Such a great card Carol. The tree looks lovely dressed with the little red berries and the shaping makes all the difference. I do it to all decoupage or layered toppers xx

Oh, Carol, what a great Christmas card! I always love red and green, and I really love the tree with the sparkle and the great dimension you've added with the "berries" using the Sakura pen! Such a good reminder for me to start making Christmas cards!! Hugs!
