Papertrey Ink Ombre Sentiments: Birthday card

Hello everyone,

Addicted to Stamps and More are up to Challenge #245, and this week we have some Photo Inspiration for you

I was inspired by the sentiment as a focal point and by the content which made me want to add some sparkle to my card

1) Take a piece of watercolour card and stamp and white emboss the sentiment from Papertrey Ink Ombre Sentiments: Birthday.

2) Take yellow, orange and red Spectrum Noir Sparkle Brush Pens and create an ombre wash over the sentiment. When it is dry, die cut the panel with a Sizzix postage die from the Butterfly Cards Die set.

3) Stamp the floral image from Papertrey Ink Bitty Bouquets stamp set. This is a two stage stamp, so I stamped the leaves in green and added the flowers with yellow and orange ink using the rock n roll technique. Fussy cut the flower.

4) Die cut a stitched rectangle from black card and layer everything up on an A2 card base, and go over the flowers with a SN Clear Overlay Sparkle Pen.

I find it really hard to capture sparkle on a photograph, but you can see it a bit better on the second photo.

Well, now it's over to you! Why not head over to the ATSM blog to see some great inspiration from the Team, and you can link up your entries there. I can't wait to to see how you interpret the photo.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs
Carol x

Carol, I love the mixture of black and white and one other color, so here the orange really pops! But, it's even further enhanced by a big, bold sentiment. A beautiful card. Thank you for joining us at The Paper Players this week! Crystal, DT

That brightly inked panel really says 'celebrate' to me, Carol. Contrasted with the black and white borders it's a show stopper.
