Gemini Twinkling Tree foiled Christmas card

Hello friends and welcome to Challenge 397 at Addicted to Stamps and More.

This time we are looking for a Christmas theme. Guess which lucky girl got a GoPress and Foil foiling machine for Christmas? Yep - I found one under the tree and after not being at all sure that I would make enough use of one to justify the price, I have to say I have found it fun and easy to use. This is my first card using it!

I used the Gemini Twinkling Tree foil stamp die and it came out beautifully on white card. As the tree is so pretty, I didn't want to add much more - a few gems and a retired sentiment stamp from Happy Little Stampers finished it off. I tried the tree again on coloured card and didn't have as good a result - the foil was duller and seemed to sink into the card. More playing is obviously required but if you have a machine and can give any tips, I'd love to hear from you!

There is lots of inspiration from my talented teammates over on the ATSM blog and it would be great if you decide to play along with us.

I'd like to play along at

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs
Carol x

This is beautiful! I now have to add this gorgeous foiling die to my wishlist. :) Love the pops of red you added. (My machine is a Gemini, and I'm a newbie, so no tips from me, I'm afraid!)

I just learned of this machine a while back from another gal, so I had to look it up. I'd probably burn myself on the thing. lol But your card is gorgeous and I love that you can use what dies you have with it too. I saw you can even use an embossing folder! Interesting! You will have to go to You Tube Carol, I think it was a Simon Say person who did that video of using the embossing folder. She also showed if you have a mistake, you can erase it with the Mono Sand Eraser. Your card is gorgeous and it didn't need anything else besides the gems and sentiment. That foiling just shines so beautifully on the white card. Can't wait to see what else you do with this machine! Hugs, Brenda

A very effective CAS card - I just can't get my head around the foil and press - I may have to persevere though if you can create something as effective as this - great to see you here - thanks for joining us at The Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge xx Lynda DT
